AND WHAT IF WE WERE

ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE?

One day, I have had this strange thought: "What if we were alone in the universe?"

Confused, even the most sceptical of us caress the idea that there could be the existence of extraterrestrials, and if we fail, us, terrestrial humanity, somewhere, maybe far away, some other intelligents being wil succeed.  And it is reassuring...

But what if we were alone? Really alone?

What if there was nothing alive or intelligent in the infnite of space?

If all planets were, like we can observe in the solar system... Too cold, or too hot, constituted of gaseous magma or rocky agglomerate. If the terrestrial experience was onluy a continuation of hazard and coincidence so extraordinary that it could never occur elsewhere?

If it was a unique miracle that was unreproductible ?

That would mean that we would fail, if we destroyed our planet (and these days, we definetly have the opportunity to do so), nothing would subsist.

After us, maybe the "game is over" with no possibility to replay.

Maybe we are at our ultimate chance.

And in this case, our fault would be enormous.

But what can we do to prevent it?
