MIRROR
In the others gaze, the first thing we are looking for is our own reflexion.
In the first place, in our parent's gaze.
Then in our friends.
Then we start looking for a unique mirror of reference. Which means, the ultimate quest of love. But in fact, what it really is, is a quest for our own identity.
Lovte a first sight is the dicovery of a "good mirror", which sends us a satisfying reflexion of ourselves. We are trying to love ourselves in the eyes of someone else.
It is a magic moment when two parallel mirrors mutually sends pleasant images.
In fact, you only have to place two mirror face to face to notice that it can reflect an image hundreds of times in an infinite perspective. The discoevry of a "good mirror" makes us multiple and opens new horizons to us.
What a feeling of power and eternity!
But the two mirrors are not fixed, they move.
The two lovers grow, mature, evolve.
They were well, facing one another, but even if they follow each other for awhile, they do not exacly move at the same speed or in the same direction.
They do not always search the same reflexion of themselves.
Then comes this tearing, the moment when the other mirror is not facing us any longer. Not only is it the end of the love story, but it is also the loss of our own reflexion.
We can't find ourselves in the other's eyes.
We do not know who we are anymore.
